Big River, California

Welcome to the Bonnie Baker Senior Center (BBSCC) in Big River California. We are an official San Bernardino County Senior Affairs congregate meal site serving Big River and Needles, CA. We are located at 149350 Ukiah Trail in Big River and provide hot, nutritious lunches for local seniors on weekdays, offering a place for both a healthy meal and social connection.

Beyond its role as a meal site, the center is a crucial resource for this remote desert community. It partners with the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County to act as a food distribution site for USDA commodity foods. The facility also functions as an essential cooling center during periods of extreme heat, providing a safe and air-conditioned space for residents.

While the center’s official hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, it is frequently described as the heart of the community. It hosts various social gatherings and holiday events, serving as a lifeline and a central point of contact for many local seniors. BBSC proudly serves as an official polling place for San Bernardino County, helping our community stay engaged and empowered during every election.
